Monday, September 20:

  • Attention all Cross Country runners: At this time, there IS practice today. If practice is cancelled, there will be an afternoon announcement. 
  • Attention Math Team members: Practice will be held after school today in room 245. If you have any questions, please see Ms Buck or Mrs. Briffett. Hope to see you there! 
  • Are you the kind of kid who wants to share the latest book you've read with all your friends? Do you like treasure hunts? how about building LEGOs?  If your answer is YES - join Ms. Dion and Mrs. Rotkiewicz for Students as Readers, Monday, September 25th at lunch and at 2:10pm in the Library. Tuesday, September 19:
  • Are you the kind of kid who wants to share the latest book you've read with all your friends? Do you like treasure hunts? how about building LEGOs?  If your answer is YES - join Ms. Dion and Mrs. Rotkiewicz for Students as Readers, Monday, September 25th at lunch and at 2:10pm in the Library. All students are welcome!
  • There will be an after school help session for all 5th grade clarinets today in the Band Room. Bring your instrument. 
  • Jazz Band will meet tomorrow after school. 
  • Attention all 7th and 8th grade students! Just a reminder that full complete applications for our student leadership team are due this Friday, the 22nd, by 2:03pm. If you would still like to pick up an application, there will be copies in the main office. Please see Mrs. Hatt, Mrs. Hacket, Mrs. MacDonald, Mrs. Meyers or Mrs. Morin with any questions! We look forward to a great year!
  • A great first-of-the-season-meet was held yesterday by our Kennedy Cougars Boys and Girls Cross Country teams! The Boys team crushed Holliston, sweeping first through tenth place. John finished in first place, followed by Steven, Jacob, Mikey and Josh. For our lady Cougars, Rowan finished in first place for kennedy and first place overall! She was followed by Sammy, Shea, Brooke, and Kait.  
  • Attention Math Team members:  Practice will be held after school on Wednesday in room 245. If you have any questions, please see Miss Buck or Mrs. Briffett. Hope to see you there!


Monday, September 18:
  • Oboe after school help with Mr. Drapeau will NOT meet today. Oboe lessons with Mr. Kay will meet as scheduled. 
  • A reminder to all Cross Country runners:  Please meet in the back field, in uniform, by 3:15pm for our first meet. If you are staying after school, you must be with a teacher until that time.

  • Attention all 7th & 8th grade students! By now, you should have received an email regarding our Cougar Pride Leadership Team. We will have an information table with applications at lunch again today and applications will be in the office all next week. Please note that completed applications are due by end of day next Friday, the 22nd. Please see Mrs. Hatt, Mrs. Hacket, Mrs. MacDonald, Mrs. Meyers or Mrs. Morin with any questions! We look forward to a great year!

  • Tonight there will be a Beach Bash here at KMS for all students. In addition to the DJ, games, and candy for sale, we will have the Spike Ball Tournament for the 2nd year in a row. Grades 5/6 will have one tournament and Gr 6/8 will have a second tournament. Boys and girls are mixed. We will have a prize for the winning team for each group!  Registration Forms are on the VB and in the office. 
Thursday, September 14:

  • Today is the final day of auditions for The Grumpiest Boy in the World, the fall play for 7th and 8th grade students. Come join us for this show! See Mr. Lane with questions. 
  • Attention Cross Country Athletes: Please change for practice and meet in Mr. Power's classroom, room #248 after school.  
  • Yesterday was Picture Day. Coffee Pond is still accepting orders. Drop off order forms in the office until Monday, or parents can go online and order pictures through www.CoffeePond.com
  • All 6th, 7th, 8th grade students interested in Jazz Band should attend our first rehearsal after school today in the Band Room. Bring your instrument. 
  • Specialty Chorus will meet on Thursday after school. See Mr. Griffin with any questions. 
  • The Robotics Club will start this Thursday 9/14 after school in the Tech Ed Room, #144 with Mr. Stefanini. All are welcome to attend. Also, the Robotics Team will start this Thursday. The Robotics Team will compete in the first Lego Competition this fall. This year's first Lego League theme is Hydro Dynamics.  We will be out in time for the late bus.

  • Today is Picture Day! Teachers will advise students when to head down for pictures. If you don't have your order form, do not worry!! Parents can go online and order pictures through www.CoffeePond.com
  • All 6th, 7th, 8th grade students interested in Jazz Band should attend our first rehearsal after school today in the Band Room. Bring your instrument.

  • There will be an after school help session for all 5th Grade Flutes today in the Band Room. Bring your instrument. We will end in time for the late bus.
  • All 6th, 7th and 8th Grade students interested in Jazz Band should attend our first rehearsal tomorrow after school. Bring your instrument!
  • Attention to any student going to Brown School at the end of the school day: Brown School is still in session until 2:50 pm each day. Please do not go into Brown School before the end of their school day. Poor weather days are an exception - you may wait in the lobby if there is rain or snow. Mr. Downing will allow use of their playground at the far end of the school Please be respectful of their school grounds while waiting for siblings and friends. 
  • Picture Day is Wednesday, September 13. Order Forms are being distributed in homerooms. Bring them in on Picture Day.

If you have any questions, please see miss Buck or Mrs. Briffett. Hope to see you there!

We will discuss the fall play for 7th and 8th grade students, The Grumpiest Boy in the World, which will audition next week on Wednesday 9/13 and Thursday 9/14.  In addition, we will talk about he calendar for the year including the spring musical and new opportunities for students of all grades to participate in theatre! Whether you are interested in being onstage or working backstage, all are encouraged to attend!  Please see Mr. Lane with questions.

Additionally, there is a Robotics Team which meets in the same room. The Robotics Team participates in First Lego League. This year's challenge is Hydro Dynamics.
